SAP
The Broad has licensed SAP as its fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The system contains all the financial activities of the Broad, and supports other central administrative processes, including Grants Management, Budgeting, Procurement, and Inventory Management. SAP data also forms the basis of all financial reporting (internal and external) done at the Institute.

Workday
Workday has been licensed as the Broad Institute's Human Resource/Payroll solution. Implemented functionality at the Broad includes Pay, Benefits, Time and Career center. Questions regarding Workday should be directed to either the HR or Payroll Office.

SAP Quote to Billing Solution
The Broad Institute is replacing the Quotes Server with new technology throughout FY2019. The new solution uses SAP to raise quotes and report billing and a new app for external customers to approve quotes and submit funding. The following platforms are transitioning to this solution in January 2019: Imaging, PRISM, CDoT and BITStore. The remaining platforms will be migrated over the next few months.

Coeus
Coeus is an Electronic Research Administration system developed by MIT. It was created to assist the research community in pre- and post-award management, and increase the efficiency of award acquisition and administration. The Broad has implemented the proposal module to track proposals sent to sponsors, and the award module to track detailed information on awards, as well as the required approvals for protocols and other special terms. Enterprise Systems enters data in Coeus based on forms submitted by OSR. Some of that data is fed into SAP and serves as the basis for Grant management and reporting. Coeus users can now access this system through VMware.

SciQuest
SciQuest is a web procurement system. Selected vendors are "enabled" through the SciQuest interface and are available to the Broad Community for shopping. Broad users create shopping carts which are passed to SAP via a dropbox. Procurement uses the carts (which are converted to requisitions in SAP) to create Purchase Orders. Several vendors are also enabled for e-invoicing, which electronically processes files sent to Accounts Payable.

EARS
The EARS application tracks employee effort distribution and certifications. Payroll information is fed into EARS, which distributes the charges based on employee's allocations. The resulting file is loaded into SAP and posted to cost objects as salary expense. Each month, web reports are published to allow PI's to evaluate and approve effort for all Broad community members allocated to their grants.

Quote Server
The Quote Server (aka QuoteDB or BroadQuote) is a Broad developed application which helps manage the financing and progress of work performed in the platforms. Project Managers coordinate with Investigators to provide SSF services to the Broad's internal and external groups. The Quote Server generates quotes, tracks work and feeds data to SAP for invoicing, allowing project managers and platform administrators to see the full lifecycle of the work completed in their labs. The Quote Server also provides means for Broad Platform LIMS systems to report work in an automated fashion, thereby reducing manual tracking, and speeding up the billing process.

ImageNow/WebNow
Image Now is an electronic document management solution for SAP source documents. It is integrated with SAP to streamline entry and approval of documents such as Invoices and Packing slips. Users can access the image repository through WebNow to review documents pertaining to their orders.

WebReq
The Web Requisition (Web Req) portal allows Broad users to shop directly for laboratory, computer or office supplies, all from one site. At the WebReq site, users can place external orders for supplies and/or with suppliers not available through the Broad store or SciQuest. For more on ordering supplies through WebReq or to place orders for equipment or contracted services, please visit the Procurement homepage.
