Behind the Scenes Video Tour: Broad Institute’s COVID-19 Testing Lab

Take a video tour of Broad Institute’s COVID-19 testing lab, where scientists have transformed a DNA sequencing lab built for scientific research into a medical testing lab that processes more than 100,000 COVID-19 tests per day. We have also included an educational guide with discussion questions and a learning activity with the video for educators and classrooms.

Bio-Coding Club

Intended for teachers, this curriculum combines lessons, hands-on activities, and practice coding with the coding language Scratch. Currently, two modules are available for download, with more planned.

The microbiome module (6+ lessons) introduces students to genetics and the effect microbes have on human health. In the infectious disease module (6+ lessons), students learn about epidemiology, herd immunity, handwashing, and vaccine development.
