Two-factor authentication is a way to add a second layer of security to protect data. At Broad, it means that after logging in with your username and password, you will authenticate your identity using a second factor, such as a code sent to your phone or another mobile device, or a code from a call on a landline.

Two-factor authentication prevents hackers from logging in to your account even if they have your password. Broad is adopting two-factor authentication to keep data more secure. Even if an unauthorized user had access to your username and password, that user would still be unable to access your Broad information. Two-factor authentication is an easy, convenient procedure that dramatically increases Broad's data security.
